Two weeks into my diet

Been on my diet for two weeks now and appears to be an uphill battle. Didn't realize how many calories are in foods and how much I ate per day till I started using SparkPeople.
This has appeared to be a real eye opening experience. I'm not only realizing how poorly I ate (food and times of day), but also realized exercising is difficult due to how out of shape I am in.
I will keep pushing myself and finding the motivation. As difficult as it appears, I need to remind myself that I am doing this for a healthier me and no one else.
