Waiting at the Pharmacy

Friday, March 10, 2017

Spent most of the morning driving to the Pharmacy. Then finding a parking spot. Then walking into the Pharmacy. Then taking a number and waiting till that number was called to see the pharmacist. Then take another number and wait for my number and name to appear on the board - meaning my prescription is filled and I could pick it up. The drive over is 45 minutes. The waiting in the Pharmacy turn was about a little less than hour then another 50 minute to get filled. Then another 45 minutes drive home. So just getting my prescriptions to take after yesterday's oral surgery took most of my entire morning. Cannot drive taking the pain killer - so I got a few groceries before coming home and taking it.

Wow there should be a better faster way to do this - but other than taking numbers instead of standing in long lines - not much has changed in 24 years at the VA outpatient Pharmacy!
