Just a note to those who check, I'm pulling away from SP. I'm not leaving totally. I'm choosing what my journey will look like and it won't be "trending". I will still blog a joke and a saying. I will definitely continue to check in with my friends because they matter. I will use the trackers because they're better than nothing. But, I'm not going in the direction SP wants to go.
I can understand their changes even though I disagree just how beneficial they will be. SP has always been focused on the younger generations. That has been an ongoing complaint for me that they have done very little in special exercises that are geared for the over 60. (Plus their recipes are not healthy. You can do better elsewhere.) So, now, they're going for the smart phone generation that is constantly updating their every thought and action. I'm not that person. I don't have a smart phone. It has evolved that I was spending over 2 hours a day, sitting at the computer, dealing with emails and posting to the message boards. That's 2 hours I could have been moving. So, I'm retaking control of what I can use from this site.
Plus, I had an "aha" moment. When I get irritated with a situation, I tend to go off track. When I go off-track, I get more irritated with everything and the spiral continues. I was losing sight of "my" journey while trying to fit in with SP's version. Not working. So I'm reclaiming my journey and SP can go play with their smartphones.
So, I will be in touch and you can always reach me. I will be reading your blogs and cheering you on your journeys. Take care, all of you, and keep moving!
And now for the daily joke:
A Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "honor" thy Father and thy mother," she asked, "is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?" Without missing a beat one little boy (the oldest of a family) answered, "Thou shalt not kill."
