Spring 2017

Doesn't feel like spring yet. Still bundled up like an Arctic explorer to sit outside, and I definitely haven't "sprung forward" with the time change! Sleep, deep, restful sleep, is still elusive, but hopefully the glimpses of it that I have managed with the new meds will further develop now that we're upping the dosage.
Weight is creeping down at a snail's pace, but I am getting fitter, healthier answer stronger. I can climb stairs easily, multiple flights of stairs! I can walk longer and faster. My blood pressure is right in the middle of the healthy range, rather than clinging to the top of the range by its fingertips! Cholesterol levels are normal, without lipitor. All reasons to celebrate!
Appetite is rebuilding, with increased sleep. Some days I even want breakfast, which is huge!
When the warmer weather finally arrives to stay, I will be restarting my relearn to run program. Still have to learn how to pace myself with that, I can walk, and I can sprint, but long distance running is still eluding me. I will get there, and complete a full mile and a half one day! That's the mid-term goal. Short-term is 1 complete lap at the track. Long-term, I'm hoping will be a 5K.
Just a few rambling thoughts to remember this point in time, to see how far I have already come, and how my progress is not defined by the scales.
