Unfortunately I did not have a restful night of sleep thanks to a cough that just wouldn't quit so my the first thing I did this morning was head to Walgreens to find something new to try. The allergy & cough pills seem to be helping quite a bit. Thankful.

Once home I assisted the kids in getting their school finished for the day. Thankfully Maegann was able to get through quite a bit today, but she's still got some catching up to do after having so many bad days. She'll make the deadline even if it is Sunday night.

I was able to get several hours of paid work done. Mostly the budget reviews and then contacting those who needed to shift some funds around. Also got our receipts caught up and will tackle the bills tomorrow.

Next up was making green juice for supper. Here's the before and after...

I admit this is the hardest part of the juicing....the colors of some of them. This one actually tasted okay.

Now we're watching "Here's Lucy". Looking forward to "Survivor" tonight once the kids are in bed for the night.

Tomorrow: Isaac has time with Meg starting at 8 and Patrick in the afternoon at 2:30. School has to happen in there somewhere! I also hope to get to the library to drop some books off and pick a couple up that are on hold. May go to the grocery store once Isaac's gone as Maegann will still be sleeping. Another maybe task is getting the VBS donation box decorated so it's ready.

I have a problem with green smoothies too. I can add spinach to them but not enough that it changes the color to green.

Hope you continue to heal from that cough.

Oh, your schedule sounds crazy like mine! Schooling the kids, going to work, taking care of the home, and trying to find time to exercise and plan food well ... With God's help is the only way I can do it!

I know what you mean about the colors. I don't juice, but I make at least one smoothie per day. Sometimes they are pretty greens, reds, and oranges, but other times it is not so appetizing looking. I usually have a smoothie sitting on the desk while I'm teaching music lessons (no time for dinner!). One of my students looked at a smoothie I had that was a weird brownish green and said in a disgusted tone , "You aren't going to to drink THAT, are you?" I had to laugh and told her it was healthy for me plus it didn't taste as bad as it looked!

How do you feel physically with the juicing, Janet?
I know it's supposed to have a lot of nutrients, but do you miss out on the fiber? I've read of recipes for dehydrated vegan crackers made with fiber leftover from the machine, but never tried them
