Keeping promises to my self?

Saturday, May 06, 2017

How do you maintain you weight loss promises to yourself? I tried 3 times to get unsweetened tea through a San Antonio Texas major drive through. Each time I had used a straw and tasted sugar. The last green tea had the least amount of sugar but still had sugar. I ended up paying about $7.00 for 3 drinks. They made the mistakes but still charged me. I should have thrown them all out and not paid for a thing. Water was not on their menu or an option. Since I was still so parched for water, in a hurry between sales appointments plus natural tooth ache from recent wisdom tooth and jaw rebuilding work - I drank all three. I think I just drank about lots of calories like 32 spoonfuls of sugar and ? How many calories is that? #advice #diet #tracking #sugaraddict #gotmybuzz #water #hydration

Chicken Express locations here in Austin make a wonderful sugar-free tea, which is drive-thru friendly and they only charge $1.00 including the tax for a large. I like too as the ice melts from the TX heat I have more water to drink later on. With McDonald's on every corner, it helps knowing they sell an okay sugar-free iced coffee (if the caffeine doesn't negatively impact you) and have an afternoon happy hour. One of the things I did was invest at HEB in a stainless steel cup--which seem too pricey at first but worth it. They work like a thermos without the extra weight of a thermos. My ice lasts most of the day. Freeze water in old bottles (2 liter or smaller) and grab them to go with you. This can work as a personal cooler (when my kids were little and sensitive to the heat, they liked hugging their frozen water bottles until the AC kicked in) and melts to provide drinkable and cold water on the go. Works great. It doesn't take a whole lot of planning or advanced work--just some washing and storage space in the freezer.

Water is always an option at any kind of restaurant here! I'd check into that where you live. At fast food places, they have courtesy cups for water/ice.

We buy are water by the case. It`s usually a 36 or 40 pack of 16 ounce bottled water. I take my water everywhere I go. I have a little lunch pail that I put 4 bottles of cold water with a frozen ice pack to help keep it cold. So when I'm out and about I don`t have to go buy anything to drink. emoticon

I would have asked for the manager and got it straighten out before I would have ordered 3 tea. Are you sure they spoke English.

After the first drink they would have either refunded me or gave me what i ordered or they would have gotten the drink back..& not in a nice way. Sorry you had such poor service. I wouldn't return. BJK1961 is right. I dont think tea itself has many..

I would tell them. "Fine, I'm not coming back" I always order unsweetened ice tea. A teaspoon of sugar = 16 calories.

That's so wrong they charged you when it was there era. I'm not sure on calories in drinks. My fluids consist of one coffee in a.m ,water all day long, one milk at dinner, more water. Water-holic 😄
