way before Spark...

I found out 30odd years ago, through enrolling in an educational weight loss program at the local university, that cataloging EVERYthing that goes into your mouth changes the way you eat. I am not sure why...maybe just an awareness of eating, which a lot of us do out of habit or boredom. Back then it was way harder. Every piece of data had to be written down on paper. Spark makes the process sooooo much easier! The method WILL work, if used with complete integrity. Sure, a person can "cheat", but ultimately they only cheat themselves. Of what? Of longer life and a better quality of life along the way. Just MHO. I COULD be wrong!

    I find that tracking does help. You are right if you don't track completely you are only cheating yourself. That is the hardest part, being totally honest with oneself. It seems when we overeat, we are lying to ourselves, by making excuses why it's ok. When it finally hits you that you're destroying only yourself, is the time you finally and truly do something about it.
