May 14, 2017 TEACHING BRINGS BLESSINGS
We have probably discovered (some of us the hard way) that it is much easier to assemble something when we read and follow the directions. The outcome is much better as well. Just as following directions makes our work easier and the outcome better, we are more blessed when we hear God’s word and put it into practice. We are reminded in God’s word how many blessings we can have when we share with others and when we obey His word. He loves us and wants what is best for us. When we obey Him, we will have so much to give to others from Him and we can give Him the glory as we tell others about Him.
Proverbs 22:17-18 “Listen to the words of the wise; apply your heart to my instruction. For it is good to keep these sayings in your heart and always ready on your lips.” (NLT)
1. Write down ways you live in obedience to God.
2. List what blessings you have received from obeying Him.
3. Give Him the glory for the great things He has done.
4. Share with others what He has done and the blessings He has provided.
Dear Lord, we are so grateful for Your word. Your word provides us with information and instruction on how to live a right life for You. Your word brings promises and hope when we are going through hard times. We can apply Your word to our lives and teach to others. Remind us today and every day to read Your word, apply it to our lives and share it with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Just as Jesus gives God all the glory for the things He has done, so should we.
God’s word gives us specific instructions on how to live and be blessed by Him.
Without God’s word we would have no good direction on how to live.
We are blessed by reading God’s word every day and living according to His will.
When we live in obedience to God, we will have many blessings to share with others.
Luke 11:28 “Jesus replied, ‘But even more blessed are all who hear the word of God and put it into practice.’” (NLT)
We are blessed even more when we hear God’s word and apply it to our lives.
