3 weeks post-surgery-TKR

Sunday, May 28, 2017

It's been a while since I have checked in.
Better excuse than usual, though.

I am 3 weeks post-surgery for a left knee
total replacement. Surgery went very well.
Surgery on Monday, out of the hospital on
Wednesday. Staples out last Tues and doing
ongoing rehab at home.

Weight-wise, I have lost 9 pounds since surgery.
It helped that my throat hurt for over 2 weeks and
that most of my teeth are gone. However, I have
been actually working on it as well.

I am getting around the house mostly with no
apparatus (cane inside the house a little. When
I leave the house, I use my walker. I tend to over-do
as always but get a "gentle reminder" when I do.

The Doc won't do the other knee until Aug, so
I am hoping to lose to yearly goal by then (24
more pounds to Onederland !)

Started back to SparkCoach today. Bought
fruits and veggies last night, tracking food
started again today. Have tilapia and chicken
breasts in the freezer, as well as some frozen
entrees. No exercise for now except for rehab.

Winter depression is under control, as well as
pain and blood sugars, so I am optimistic
that it will happen this time.
