4 week post TKR check-in

Monday was my 4 week mark.
My walking has improved some, trying to
learn what I can and can't do except I am
a slowww learner. It usually takes a couple
of days to reverse the effects of one "working"
day. Monday, I did my laundry (3 loads), swished
and swiped my bathroom, cleaned my CPAP,
straightened my bedside table. Up all night with
nasty knee and leg pain. To doctor on Tuesday
in the rain, doctor's office was closed (grrrrr).
I have been doing my exercises pretty regularly,
ice packs, and elevation. Swelling is mostly gone,
most of the incision is healed (maybe where a drain
had been??) and the "bite" in knee crease is on it's
way to healing, as well.
My UTI has gone away, thank goodness. Finished
the meds on Tuesday.
My weight is back up, need to work on that harder.
I am feeling more energetic and motivated to do
Finally found my fit-bit and finally learned how to set it up.
This is my second day wearing it. Not sure about the steps'
accuracy, but gave me some great info about my sleep.
Out of the sleep from 4am-4pm. I was "awake" off and on
for 95 minutes, and "restless" for 40 min. No wonder I don't
feel rested in the morning.
dh has to work today, was awake all night again
(too much working on Thursday, like I said, I am
a slow learner). I hope to stay awake until bedtime
to get my clock reset, again. My plans for the day
are to look through all my "classes" online and maybe
do some study. Also check out some quilting videos
on youtube. So many things I want to do.
