Weekend Food Blog and Weigh in #2 - June

Monday, June 12, 2017

Last Week I did pretty good. I had a few slip ups here and there food-wise but I tried to at least do something active every day for half an hour or more. My legs are more sore then they have been in quite a while but it feels soooo good, lol.
On to my eats!

Starting with Friday because I'm pretty proud of myself. All I wanted for dinner was pizza and ridiculous amounts of diet coke. It’s what I was day dreaming about all day. But then I thought about whether this pizza was going to help me get to my goals and guess what it wasn’t.
So instead I got a salmon salad from a local deli and had some blueberries on the side. #Winning

After dinner snack: A juicy mango (I’m obsessed) and some Wisconsin string cheese

Snack: Grabbed a granola bar on the way to my river walking class

Exercise: River walked for 45 minutes. The class is at our local waterpark and we walk against the lazy river for resistance and do a few exercises in the water too. I love it because it’s before the waterpark opens so we have the whole place to ourselves. Plus it’s so nice to start off the weekend with sunshine and water and music.

Breakfast: Picked up breakfast for me and Rich. Got us the Dunkin Donuts egg white and turkey flatbread and unsweetened iced lattes

Fun Stuff: Grabbed these delicious goodies at the local farmers market. Yum!

More Fun Stuff: Then I laid out on our balcony for about an hour. Somehow my tankini top curled up on the bottom and my stomach was exposed. Gasp! I ended up getting a sunburn on my stomach because my stomach has never seen the light of day before, lol.

Snack: Grabbed an unsweetened, iced passion tea from Starbucks. It was in the 90’s and I was thirsty. This was on my way to get a manicure and pedicure which was my reward for losing the first 5 lbs.

Lunch: Picked up a steak burrito bowl with no rice and extra fajita veggies from Chipotle with a side of guac.

Snack: Organic probiotic strawberry juice. It was soooo hot and I was soooo thirsty. I gulped this down and it was super refreshing.

Dinner: A coworker had brought me a tamale from the region of Mexico where his family is from. I had never seen a tamale like this or one wrapped in banana leaves but it was huge and delicious. I had this with a farmer’s market peach on the side.

Exercise: After dinner I walked for about 50 minutes. My walk is so peaceful and beautiful

Brunch: Slept in and it was heaven. Then Rich and I went to our local spot for food.
I always look happy on the way to get food, lol.

I had the same thing as last week because it was delicious. The chipotle chicken salad. Mmmmm…look at all that avocado. Love me some healthy fats. I skipped the cream of chicken and rice soup since last week that made my blood sugar a bit high.

Fun Stuff: We didn’t have any plans for this day so we thought we would adventure on the motorcycle. #adventuretime

Lunch: Found a delicious spot for lunch on our adventure. I got the French onion soup (look at the size of those croutons) and with it I had a Rueben sandwich with a side of broccoli. I gave that coleslaw to Rich and I took off the tops of the sandwiches to make it open faced and less carby. Is carby a word? Hmmmm….

I wanted this bread soooo bad! But this was what Rich calls no, no bread and he so valiantly sacrificed himself to eat this evil bread. I was so jelly!

Exercise: After our adventure, we went on a 1.6-mile walk.

Snack: Ice cream cone from McDonald’s

Dinner: Had a cheese burger on a sandwich thin with sweet potato fries, ketchup and a pickle.

Total calories: 2,241. Not bad for my free day. I try to stay around 2,200 calories on Sunday

Weigh in #2 Restart

Starting weight: 253
Last week’s weight: 245.6
Current weight: 243.8 (-1.5)

Total weight loss: -9.2 lbs.
Almost to a 10 lb loss and only 13 lbs away from pre-pregnancy weight which is where I want to be before we start trying again.

This weekend was fun with lots of sunshine (my poor hubby looks like a lobster) and lots of moving and lots of together time for me and Rich.
