My last place was 6 months ago. So much for staying consistent. Oh well, better late than never.

School has gotten easier these last couple of terms. The first term was the worse, but this term isn't far behind. This term is rough because it's a summer session, so there is less time. The term just started at the end of May and I've already got midterms this weekend. I'm spending every waking moment studying :(

We went to the World Competition for Theatre on Ice in April. We have 3 competitive teams at our rink, but the adult team was the only one that qualified to attend World's. We did okay, but knew there was no way we were going to win. We just can't compete with the international teams. They are all a much higher skating level than we are. But we had fun and learned we were interpreting some of our elements wrong. That meant a huge redo on the choreography of one our routines.

Next week is the National Theatre on Ice competition. This is one where we actually have a chance of placing in the top 3. Plus all 3 of our competitive teams attend. It's 4 full days, much of it spent in the rink either skating or watching. And that is just the competition time, that doesn't include the additional practice time, both on and off the ice.

My time these last few weeks has been pretty full. We've had several additional nights of skating practice due to National's coming up and redoing our choreography. Add that with the studying every free minute and that means I've had zero free time. My exercise routine has gone out the window. I can't even spare 30 minutes, because that's cutting into study time. I do count my skating as exercise though. The routines really get my heart pumping because they are fast :)

    Skating counts. The primo exercise is walking and skating is just really fast walking with blades on your feet! LOL

    I hear you, I live a very busy life too, but where there's a will there's a way. Even 5 minutes here in 10 minutes there adds up in the course of the day, and it also helps two give the brain a break and free it up to think better. Keep pressing on!
