First Goal Reached: One Under "One Under"

In the past I haven't set incremental goals for weight loss -- which I think was a big mistake. With so much weight to lose, focusing on a date almost a year in the future left a lot of room for rationalizing with "I'll make up for this later" and not staying engaged. The journey was just too long, with too few rewards.
I started this time at 226. I've been bouncing around between 222 and 228 for several years now, and the lowest I've been was 219 -- after my hysterectomy. I'd also hit that weight (very) occasionally just through the normal course of things. So my first goal was 218: one under the "one under 220" -- if that makes any sense.
I hit that goal this morning: 8lbs down.
My new goal is 209. because I want to see that zero in the middle.
I'll keep making up new incremental goals as I progress. At this point, I can't imagine setting such a goal for ten pounds or more. It would take too long to achieve.
