I haven't posted a blog for two years and I decided that I would write one because of the many inspiring and supportive comments on my SparkPage today. I have been on many 5% challenges over the last 2-3 years, but I haven't always been using the Community as a life line lately.

I've gained weight recently due to using comfort food way too much as a response to grief. Having such encouraging comments on my page today created the desire to thank everyone and then I realized how much staying connected can help in this journey. I was wanting to head to the refrigerator, but had promised myself I would get sparking tonight and it made such a difference. Now I feel I'm ready to go to bed without the nighttime eating or having a bedtime glass of wine. emoticon

    I have enjoyed all the challenges with you Ann ... My worst time is the weekend as there are so many here and i feel like i am stuffing down my emotions with food but it is the hardest thing to control .... emoticon

    I hear the refrigerator calling me too and that's why I am here now. Interacting, sharing and encouraging one another truly helps get the focus back where we want it and off of unneeded eating. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I have been spinning the log in wheel for SP all along but not serious about losing weight. I just started getting more involved and hopefully the community will be supportive as I try to lose.
