I recently had a health scare that made me think about what I was doing, or not doing, to take care of this body. I am nearing my 69th birthday and find this hard to believe!! All my friends have health issues to manage and deal with, and I have lost some friends due to deadly diseases. So, with the help of good medical care and the SP support system, I will do my best to eat right and amp up my activity level. My Dr. is happy that I have never smoked, have a low normal blood pressure and glucose level. ..good things to build on.
My goals are to lose another 5% body weight, and resume some daily exercises, whether with SP videos or home equipment.
Although I generally believe that much of social media is negative and harmful, I will use My Spark page to learn and be motivated from the many great minds of SparkPeople.

    You will learn a lot here and good news is that the articles IMO are both informative and credible. the community if wonderfully supportive - rarely a negative comment in my experience

    You have set a very reasonable goal that should result in you not only feeling better but put you in a great position to age well. and I say this as a 67 year old woman.
