Weight Gain and Fluctuation

Monday, July 31, 2017

For the first time in over a year I have gained weight that won't come off like it did before. I had a very stressful month, or so., in which I lost 5 pounds due to my stress. I was so stressed I couldn't even exercise. I felt sick and was unhappy with that unhealthy loss so I purposely gained it back. During that time my scale broke and I was unable to weigh myself. When I got my new scale I was horrified to see that I was 4 lbs. above my previously maintained weight. I cut my calories a little bit and started exercising again, but this weight won't come off. Up until now, any time I wanted to lose weight I was able. Now, I don't understand what is going on. One day I weigh 135, the next 136.7, then 134.6, then 136.8. I weighed 132 for about 10 months before this hiccup. Sorry, I am frustrated because this doesn't make sense to me. For the 10 months that I maintained my weight it didn't fluctuate like that.

Thank you! I feel a lot better since I have been exercising again, but the number on the scale is quite frustrating.

A lot of things can affect weight or weight loss: hormones and hydration are just a couple of ideas. Hang in there.
