50 Ways to Lose Your Blubber.

Wednesday, August 09, 2017

1. cut back on processed foods
2. consume less carbohydrates
3. consume less calories
4. keep moving
Seriously, we all know what we have to do to lose weight, its just doing it and staying committed. Its been so hot here in the Pacific Northwest and we just aren't used to this kind of heat. It makes it hard to exercise and now we have unsafe air quality because of forest fires, they recommend not exercising outdoors and even avoid being out there any more than you have to. I do go to the YMCA most days for Zumba and bootcamp in the pool and now will start going there for an evening walk or stationery bicycle ride. The air is supposed to clear up soon and the weather cool down, but until then its not easy to keep moving. I need to focus on how far I've come and how much better I feel and not let this get me discouraged. One good thing about the heat is that I really don't feel like eating much. Yesterday my total calorie intake was 675 calories and I wasn't hungry at all, but I do know I need to eat more than that because my blood sugars go too low. Hopefully the predictions of cooler weather and clean air will come true and maybe we'll even get some rain. No, it doesn't rain in Seattle all the time, its been 52 days rain free here, a new record!

First - I LOVE this title! All my blog titles are songs. This one is particularly delightful.

Second - Bellingham is the same, if not worse (though Seattle was worse for a few days.) I'm used to talking walks daily, and have been feeling icky and headachey when I do.

And yeah true about eating when it's hot, eh? Though sometimes I get hungry at night and then it feels like I'm on a Ramadan diet.

I'm in my Vernon north of Seattle working at the county fair and I unfortunately got a sunburn but have stayed on track with food. But the air is still acrid and heavy. I'm scared to take a deep breath.
