Busting Exercise Excuses

"I am so tired. I don't feel like doing anything. I just want to rest."
"I had a stressful day at work. I just want to chill out and relax."
"I don't have any time to work out today."

These are some of my most often-used excuses not to exercise. And I am sure a lot of people have heard these excuses before.

But really the only thing keeping me from getting up and out there is me. I admit there are times when a person just can't get any exercise in (like if you're sick or feeling bad).

If I'm short on time, I can squeeze in 10 minutes here and there. If I'm stressed out or upset getting some exercise helps me feel better and calms me down. If I know I am going to be tired later on I should get my exercise done as soon as I get off work.

Exercise does make me feel better. It makes me feel like I have more energy. I need to remember this whenever those thoughts pop into my head.
