Wow, that is a dilemma. Have you explained to them what you are trying to accomplish? At a party I usually eat a little. But if I am home and someone is always trying to bring me food, I would have to ask them not to bring it. Or if I am visiting a friend I may take it home for the next day. 965 days ago
It depends on what and who is offering. I usually take a very small portion, if it's at a potluck type thing and say I'm trying just a bite of everything because it all looks good. Depending on the situation I may take a bite or two out of the food 966 days ago
I'm a visual person. I try to be mindful of my eating because not being mindful got me to where I am! I carry a photo in my purse. It is one of those collage photos. It has a photo of me from about 9 years ago when I was about 60 pounds thinner. Next to it is a photo of the current me (one of those non flattering ones that caught me at the wrong angle). When I go out with friends to have pizza - I pull out that photo and look. It reminds me of where I want to be - and I know what I need to do to get there! It also helps me when I want to grab that second or third slice! It's all about choices - right? 966 days ago
Provide substitutes with similar texture, etc. I wanted icecream. Mixed nonfat no sugar plain chobani yogurt woth fresh blueberries and that seemedcto curb craving for icecream. Healthier choice.
