Plank on a Roller

Thursday, August 17, 2017

Last night we had a ST session.
Our trainer likes to switch things up, vary common exercises.
We did 4 sets of plank on a foam roller. These were fore arm planks, not straight arm. Set up is what you might expect, feet planted hip width. The forearm rests on the foam roller, hands palm down extending off the roller. Holding the position for from 45 seconds to a minute and a half, ( progressively longer). We had to slightly roll the roller back and forth - around 1/2 to 1 inch with our forearms while maintaining form.
Try it, it's a nice switch up of the boring plank.
