Figuring it all out

So I have finally figured out a routine that works for me. I tried different days as rest days -- for a while it was Sundays, then Thursdays. I do my walking and weight training during the week and then on weekends I like to mix it up and I garden a lot and do a lot of other outside tasks. By the time Monday rolls around again, I am ready for a break of a different kind AND I find it difficult to get up for a walk. So I am going to use Mondays as my rest days to recuperate from the weekends. I only really figured this out because this last Monday was a holiday and I decided to take a break that day. Tuesday I was ready to roll again--and managed to get four days of good cardio walking into my schedule. I think the whole point here is that you have to stay flexible and do what works to maximize exercise and healthy habits. I am making this work for me and I am being successful at the goals I set for myself. Woo hoo!
