well this morning i made it - a new New York low weight, at least as far as i can remember.. next goal reset will be my first 200+ weight.. 212 discovered in late 1977 or early 1978 while on Carswell AFB! I can call it Dec 77 and aim to hit it again 40 years later??? we shall see!

one helpful discovery i made at the end of last year was a program called Run the Edge and their Run the Year tracker.. i started in full realization that covering 2017 miles on foot was not a realistic goal (even walking, let alone running) but its mid-ish September and i am at 944 miles! the pace started slowly - took about 6 weeks to make the first 100 but january and february were rough weather-wise... I caught back up to the 100/month pace by the end of June.. teens per week at the start, got up to high 20s low 30 miles/week in the spring.. weekly pace dropped off as the days got longer and we traded in the after-work walk for the dog park (so greyhound can run). August got us back to the high 20s even with the dog park and i am excited to see what mileage we will gain when soon, with the park closing at dusk, it wont be light enough to do the park.

and tis nice to discover an almost new but really recycled wardrobe as i drop back a pants size and 1-2 sizes in tops!
