A small change

I am in week 3 of the boot camp challenge at my gym and I have got to admit, was a little skeptical at first. How can you see noticeable changes in only 6 weeks?! I really thought that it would be like barely scraping the dirt off the top in that short period of time, but figured I had to start somewhere so why not with this type of challenge?
So, I have been attending boot camp for an hour every Monday, Wednesday and Friday along with continuing my running schedule Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays and meeting with my trainer for an hour every Tuesday and Thursday. I also continue to track my food intake and am trying to tweak it to tie in better with my workouts, while staying within my calorie range. Saturdays have turned in to my total rest day, along with the one day of the week I allow myself to indulge a little with something sinful.
Today, I stepped on the scales and was pleased to see that I have lost a total of 4 lbs and 4 oz since starting this challenge. I know that isn't a stellar number, but I honestly was not expecting to lose much of anything on the scale as I have started building muscle (or supposedly so). But, even more exciting and impressive is the tale the measuring tape tells. I have lost a total of 4" overall. Most specifically; my arms, my chest and my waist; 1/2", 1/2" and 1" respectively. More importantly, I am noticing the differences and spotting the places that are starting to firm up and not "bulge" so much. I don't have that bike tire that wraps around my pants when I sit down. I can actually sit watching TV and "feel" the muscle wanting to come out and show itself in my abdominal area. I don't have those "jowls" on my back below my bra area nor do I have as much back fat above the bra. My pterodactyl wings are starting to look more like sparrow wings. They don't flap around so much and I have more muscle than flap.
I have just shy of 4 more weeks to go in this challenge and I am excited to have my body fat re-measured, to have after pictures to compare with the before pictures and to redo my plank wall sit, etc .... to see how much I have progressed.
