Woke up to 35 degrees and light frost today so after I got Maegann up and around for school I tried to start a fire. I've never had a fireplace before so it was comical. Finally got it though! Kept it going until the main living area was about 65. Isaac took advantage of a warm spot to work on his math.
While he was there, I was grading other work he'd finished with the help of Maegann's sweet hamster Snowball.
Took another nap during the science video, but only for 20 min. this time. Once that was finished Isaac headed out to get his tasks done that his dad had given him and I got busy on my paid work. We stopped about noon and went to lunch at Dairy Queen. Isaac got to choose this week. I did enjoy a caramel malt with my chicken strips.
We both got back to work once home and once Maegann was home it was time to help her finish up the English homework. I am her scribe often as writing notes is a trigger for a brain shut down. Her dad helped her with Geometry after supper so she's all caught up. Next up was finishing our viewing of Macbeth so she had the story finished before tackling the last act tomorrow in class. I had fun reading the modern English to them when needed for understanding. I was told to find Romeo and Juliet next.
Tomorrow.... laundry, making veggie soup, school with Isaac and getting started on the ol' Christmas letter. I'm sure there's a nap in there somewhere!
