I avoid bedtime. I have done this forever but once I was grown and out of the house I reveled in it. There's no reason for it and I know that.
I know a lot of things:
I know lack of sleep can cause over-eating.
I know waking up tired makes morning exercise more challenging than it needs to be.
I know sleep deprivation can cause illness and accidents.
I know I feel better the few nights I get more than five hours of sleep.
I've read articles on how to get a good's night sleep.
I know what to do:
no caffeine after 1:00 PM
exercise during the day
Establish a going-to-bed routine
shut off electronics at 9:00
lay out exercise clothes for the morning
drink sleepy-time tea
take a warm bath with essential oils
play sleep music
relax in our amazingly comfortable bed
drift into dreams
Writing this makes me want to do it.
