My Exercise Elephant

I had surgery in 2012 but did not embrace exercise until 2017. Part was due to bad knees which have both beenbeen replaced, but most was due to viewing exercise as a fate worse than death. A 19 pound regain changed my perspective. I have learned to find and embrace the jock in me. Exercise of choice - walking to the beat. Frequency 3/4 times a week 5000 steps plus. Weight lifting 2 times / week. Benefits: Lost 46 pounds more, have muscle definition, miss it if I do not do it, added a great tool to my arsenal along with RNY surgery.

Not always gung ho when I exercise, but I have learned perseverence and I always feel better afterwards. I take it one day, one hour, one minute at a time depending on my motivation level. I refuse to throw in the towel.
