really dreading the dread that will set in

Wednesday, October 25, 2017

friday morning will be weigh in day for me.
i have a doc appt and so i know i will weigh myself here before i go there and then i will be 3 lbs higher on her scale
because i always am.
either way, i havent stepped on the scale since oct 7th and i have worked pretty hard the last couple of weeks, adding steps daily. counted carbs calories etc and so on.
have increased and decreased all the things i needed to increase and decrease.
but i will probably be back here reporting very little to no change.
i dont expect to see much of a change. but i hope i am wrong....there it is, hope.
i never want to get my hopes up because it makes the inevitable so much more disappointing and sad.

You've been doing all the right things, so your success shouldn't be defined by the scale. Be proud of healthy choices you've made.

The scale isn't always the best way to measure your progress. If you're working out and doing mostly that "right" things, you will see progress eventually.

I know how hard and disappointing it is when you do all the right things and yet when you step on those scales at the Drs. The scale does not change. I wonder why our scale says one thing the Drs. another. I always hope the change will show on their scale. It would be so nice. I hope you see the change when you step on those scales.
