October 31, 2017 STORY TELLING
This day is one that is set aside for trick or treating. There may even be some scary stories to tell about what we experienced in our haunted ventures. However, the best stories we can share with others are stories about what God has done for us. When we share what difficulties and scary times we’ve had in life with others and tell them how God helped us through them, we can show them how He wants to help them as well. Sometimes pride keeps us from sharing our stories because we don’t want others to think badly about us. But when we share our stories with others we are actually helping them so we need to put our pride aside and share how God helped us in a scary time in our lives.
2 Corinthians 9:8 “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” (NLT)
1. Write about a time God helped you through something.
2. List the scary parts where you were really afraid.
3. Know when you trust in God He will provide you with what you need.
4. Know He wants you to share your stories with others.
Dear Lord, You have blessed us with many stories to tell others about issues we have had in life where You have helped us. We have stories about how You helped us with our careers. We have stories about how You have helped us in our relationships. We have stories of how You have helped us in our finances. There are people in this world who need to hear our stories. Help us to be bold and tell them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Every one of us have a story to share with others. We should seek opportunities to share our testimonies with others.
Sometimes pride keeps us from sharing our stories because we don’t want others to think badly about us.
We can serve others by sharing our stories with them about what God has done for us.
Some of our past life stories were really scary because we didn’t know the outcome. Now we do and should share what God has done for us.
We should share our firsthand information about how we became believers with others.
John 21:24 “This disciple is the one who testifies to these events and has recorded them here. And we know that his account of these things is accurate.” (NLT)
We know our stories are accurate because we were there. People wants to hear real and true stories about how God has helped us.
