November 1, 2017 ATTITUDE

What makes up our attitude? We all have one. We either have a great attitude or a rotten one. Our attitudes come from our thoughts. Yes, other people can cause us to change our attitude; however, they can’t make us change them. It is our choice. When we choose to get up with the right attitude every day, we will. When we put good thoughts into our minds and hearts, we will have a better attitude.

SCRIPTURE:
Philippians 4:8 “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (NLT)

ACTION STEPS:
1. Write down how you attitude is today.
2. List the things you have been thinking about.
3. Know God wants you to have a right attitude.
4. Pray for a better attitude and get into God’s word.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we want to have the right attitude today. We want to put good things into our minds and hearts. We want to remember You all day. We want to focus on Your word, Your blessings and Your will. Help us to remember our attitude is our choice. Help us to put good thoughts into our heads despite what happens to us today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

REMEMBER:
Our attitudes are our choice. We can choose a good one or a bad one.

When we allow other factors to control our attitude, we aren’t allowing God to help.

People will do things to let us down but we shouldn’t allow that to control our attitude.

When our focus is on God, we will have a right attitude.

Reading and meditating on God’s word will help our attitude to change from bad to good.

FOCUS:
Colossians 3:2 “Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” (NLT)

Focusing on the things of the world will cause us to have a bad attitude.
