Yes, that's me. I am trying to be encouraging to people on the community feed, telling them not to get discouraged and that they can achieve their goals. And I really do mean it, because I want them to succeed! But lately I am not applying my advice and pep talks to myself.

I went on vacation to visit family in the states. Sure, a great time, but I dreaded going because I knew I would gain weight while on vacation. So when I got back, I tried to get right back on track to lose those vacation pounds. And it seemed to work for a while, although most of the weight lost was just water. emoticon

So now I have been in a rut for several weeks, and keep yo-yo-ing the same few pounds over and over again. And I know what I need to do to get rid of them for good, but my motivation seems to end with encouraging others and not taking my own advice. It's going to be a LONG Fall and Winter. emoticon

emoticon Sorry to hear that you're experiencing being in a rut. Time to extend some TLC (tender loving care) to yourself. Keep believing in yourself and your capacity to maintain. MAINtenance is work. Some times are easier than others.

It is easier to cheer others than to follow our own advice.

I think you will find the motivation to get rid of them much sooner than you think, but maybe it’s better to leave out the words “for good,” then it won’t be so daunting.

My impression is that maintaining continues to be work, probably forever, sometimes not much work and sometimes more work, and it may seem less impossible if we just expect it to be like that.
    You can do it! emoticon

I'm sorry about the rut. Tale good care of yourself!
Encouraging others is a very nice thing to do, and I'm sure that your positive approach will help you too!
