How many times can you start over???

As many as necessary.
I have been at this on and off here on SparkPeople since December 2012. My highest weight when I started was 230. I have made it down to 178, lost focus, went to 208, got back on track and went down to 184...lost focus again.
I woke up 24 days ago at 221.
Thanks to my class buddy MawMaw,...who has been an encourager all the way, I was led to the book "100 days of weight loss" by Linda Spangle. It is not a diet plan. It is a book of 100 days of journaling prompts to help you keep your focus. There is a team going through it, so I joined.
I know, it is just 24 days and I have done this before. But just because I have not stayed with it two other times, doesn't mean I can't stay with it this time! I KNOW I can stay with it. They say "three is the charm."
How many times do you forgive yourself? As many times as necessary.

    Food is everywhere so it can be challenging. If I focus on taking care of my body, rather than following rules it is mentally easier (for me) to stay on track.

    100 Days is a great book. I check on the SparkTeam daily for the daily "lesson" even if I do not post.

    I also have a hard time forgiving myself even though part of my regain us medical problems and drug side effects. Still feel like a total loser

    If living a "Healthy" life-style was easy...

    THEN,,, everyone would be at healthy weights
    with exercised bodies !!

    The other day I wrote something like this (wish I could remember an exact quote)

    Why do we think of "Diet" as a punishment...
    No matter what we eat... that is our diet... whether it is healthy choices or otherwise.

    No matter what you eat or how much you exercise. that is your life-style (healthy or not)

    You are the captain of your life... You will guide yourself down the path that YOU choose..
    You can and will achieve your goals, day by day...
    I know YOU can !!

    (oh, I do hope you do not read this as a lecture... I mean it as encouragement !!)

    Keeping weight off should not be hard. A total eating overhaul needs to happen..not just calorie counting nutritionally deplete " food". Once you start fueling your body with fresh produce..beans..nuts..no more DAIRY, btw..cravings for junk will be GONE..the weight will come off and STAY off..and you will get thin..not just a lesser severity of fat
