DGS doesn't have to look for hidden Christmas gifts.....

Thursday, November 30, 2017

Ten yr old DGS has an i-pad that is registered to his mom. Amazon prompted him to add the account to appear on his device. This was several months ago. Now it's Christmas shopping time and he gets notified of items purchased. Sort of shoots down the "what do you want from Santa this year?"

My kindle was also a gift from DD, so when I access Amazon shopping I also see what she has ordered. LoL

It's a problem with sharing any device. We are all connected in real time these days.

You should get your own Amazon account, then there would not be that problem. I would not give a password to an account like Amazon, with payment options listed, to a child. You need to enter passwords to see account details, so it is your option as to who sees these things. This is easily corrected.

I can see how that can be a problem.

Maybe the whole site needs to be revisited and reset. The other alternative is do not shop Amazon for people who can see
