Setting Reasonable Goals

So, I just saw a coach video regarding setting smart and reasonable goals. I have always looked at the big picture and gotten discouraged when I reach a plateau or not lost as I thought I should have in a week. I am always sidelined by food. My small goals are to get through each day by sticking with the food plan. I also want to spend at least 10 minutes each day in some form of exercise. As I get older, I find that I am less and less agile. I want to improve my agility, be able to get outdoors more, follow my eating plan and feel better overall. If I lose some weight in the meantime, great! I will strive to not be a slave to the scale. Realistically speaking, I should lose 60 pounds. I am 64 years old. If I can lose 40 pounds, I will be more than happy.
