Small Steps and Patience

Thursday, January 18, 2018

The decision to lower my sodium intake and increase my water intake in the first week payed off. I lost 8 lbs in the first week. I know, I know... it’s all water weight but my joints are thanking me. Now that I finetooned my sodium and water, it’s off to the next small step: getting used to working out again. To help me with this step I download few apps that promis to eas me back into working out and slowly train my muscles for more vigorous exercise for later on. Also, to help stretch my muscles I downloaded a yoga app that connects to my iHelth app. Why am I not getting a gym membership, you ask?! My answer: time constraint. The time spent running into and out of the gym is actually spent doing my easy (for now) exercises and all I need for that is a floor mat. So, in summary: it’s cheep and I can work out any time I’m back from work. The only splurge I got on my second week is adding a Fitbit. I stand a lot at work and walk around, so it was a good tool to keep track of my steps. Let’s see how my second week turns out 🤨
