Life in our North!

Yesterday it was minus 21C-I was out with the Germans and took a few pictures of the snow-- The above picture is Beau, with his ball--

And here is Tess, waiting for me to open the gate--

We do have a lot of snow, with 10 -20 more cm falling today-

This was the back road a month or so ago--
If I could get down to the lake, you would see fishing shacks on it---and skidoos --and trucks, driving down the lake, where people from town think there are bigger fish to be caught--

Of course we do have a ski hill very close to town---
Our children grew up there--

Life in the North is different , than living in Southern Ontario---
The town, of only about 11,000 people, means that we don't have as much traffic on our roads as people down south-- It also means that we dress differently on very cold or icey days---Parkas and boots with special grips like a snow tire would have--

So, on this day--on the home front, its an UBER DAY--The Dreadmill is calling--and me thinks there will be snow to clear on the walk ways--

no more pie making---perhaps a pot of soup will be made later---

plus, I'll try to be a good adult!
