Vanity sizing: Aggravating or encouraging?

1st I am 56 and have been overweight all of my life. As I work towards my goal of 100 pounds gone, I really don't know if 130 pounds is realistic or not. I haven't been that light since my very EARLY teen years. I went to get a new pair of jeans recently and the pair I bought (a hard find of not being torn and shredded) a size 14. WHAT?
I mean, really, the last time I was in a size 14 (& a very tight fit), it was the 70's and I weighed about 155lbs. I was 30 pounds heavier this go round. 1st I was like YEAH!, then I'm was mad. Shouldn't I be encouraged? I HATE, HATE, HATE to be lied to by marketing teams. I really wish women's sizing was standard like men's clothing sizes. Then I could be comfortable buying stuff online or when I don't have time to try it on at the store. Wouldn't that be WONDERFUL? Anyhow I'm finally almost at my 2nd goal being accomplished, just the plateaus, ugh!
A favorite song came on today by HOLLYN, "Alone". 'Yeah man, I got issues, I can't even lie. My only saving grace is knowing I got You inside.' Exactly! Lol, peace and hugs y'all!
