February 9, 2018 STAY PURE

Any food that is not thoroughly cooked is not going to be edible. Any building that is not set up correctly will fall. Anything we do where we don’t plan properly or follow the directions will probably not be worth much when we are done. Doing God’s will is the same. We have to plan and prepare to do His will. We can plan by reading His word daily, remembering it, and applying it to our lives. If we want to be prepared, we need to repent of our sin, seek His forgiveness, and allow Him to make us pure and ready to do His will. When we are pure, we can live a sincere life that is completely serving Him.

2 Timothy 2:21 “If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” (NLT)

1. Write down any unconfessed sin in your life.
2. List the things you need to turn away from.
3. Seek God’s forgiveness and repent.
4. Open your heart, mind, and soul to God to be ready to do His will.

Dear Lord, we don’t want to seek Your will unless we are ready and prepared. Please reveal to us anything in our lives we need to turn away from. Show us the sin is in our lives where we need to repent and seek Your forgiveness. We want to be a clean vessel so You can work through us to do Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God wants us to be a vessel, a clean vessel, He can use to do His work on earth.

When we are pure, we can live a sincere life that is completely serving Him.

God wants us to prepare ourselves to do His will by turning from sin and dedicating our lives to Him.

God can best use us when we are willing to open our lives to Him.

If we want an abundant live, we need to live an obedient life to God.

When we choose to repent of our sins and turn to God, He will reveal to us His will.

Matthew 3:8 “Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.” (NLT)

To prepare to do God’s will, we must repent, seek His forgiveness, and live an obedient life.
