So I'm Not The Only One

Saturday, February 10, 2018

Yesterday my sister and I went grocery shopping with my mom. My sister is dieting with me, because she's prediabetic and she has high blood pressure, and it's nice to have a dieting buddy, even though she does it differently than I do. She doesn't quite have as much experience! She was skinny long past the age when I got big, though, so that's why. While we were shopping, and throwing healthy food into the cart, both of us studied the stuff we can't have, for now. We took a tortured tour through the bakery, then the candy aisle. We looked at the frozen breakfast food, and the soda aisle. Food I can usually do without was tempting, and my sister and I oohhed and awwed over all of it. I didn't know she does that, too. My husband is puzzled as to why I take particular time to study food and candy I won't let myself eat, but I don't know why I do it either. I just know that it's a thing my sister does, too, for whatever reason.

I personally cannot do the tortured tour. BUT it's all about whatever works for YOU! good you didn't buy any, though.

I tell myself that if I really want anything, I can have it on a planned cheat day. It works pretty well. I don't think I could do it if I never let myself eat any of it.

I couldn't do that tortured walk, i mean i wouldn't buy any of the stuff, but i wouldn't put myself through that mental anguish.
