The gears are moving! It was a tough start but I'm making some...what I feel...great progress. My diet has been within calorie range or closer to. I've done much better controlling my sweet tooth, as well. I'm feeling better about myself and my confidence to keep striving to be where I want to be in life is up. I'm a Cathlic and for me that means Lent starts tomorrow. Usually, I never looked forward to Lent. I love my meat and having to give up something I enjoy for 40 days...never appealed to me. However, this year I can use it to my favor. I'm giving up sugar. I'm looking forward to taking the challenge of finding meatless recipes, and explore more fruits and veggies. As for fitness, aside from my Fitbit steps, I have incorporated some short yoga flows daily. This may not sound like much, but a month ago it was just my daily steps. Six months ago, I was killing it in strength and endurance training. My muscles have changed since then, and I know the smart thing to do is start back slow. I already know I can do it, but my mind and body are different. So this week I'm going to stick with just my yoga. I know it's important to strengthen your trunk and your core first before working on your arms and legs, so next week, I'll be adding extra workouts with my yoga focusing on those areas.     That is so great! I'm glad you are finding your way once again down this path of being healthy. Lent is always a great way to stay committed. I'm Lutheran and I've given up pizza, even the healthy kind I make myself. Even eating healthy you can over do, and pizza is one of my down falls.

    So here's to a great 40 days to be. By that time, you know Spring will be here and then time for shorts and Summer with all that goes with that.

    Looking forward to it, cause I'm ready to say goodbye winter. emoticon
