February 14, 2018 SINCERELY LOVE
If we don’t know the real meaning of something, it is hard to imitate it. Many of us know someone who doesn’t know how to show love. They may have never been exposed to love. They may have issues in their lives where love is not easy to give. When we are around people who have a hard time loving others, we need to show them love. When we show love to others, we can truly make a difference.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” (NLT)
1. Write about someone who needs love.
2. List the ways you can show them love.
3. Know God will put others in your path.
4. Seek opportunities to sincerely love others.
Dear Lord, help us to understand the meaning of love. Help us to look at this meaning in Your word daily and be sure we are showing love to others. We pray for those who don’t know love. We pray for those who don’t know You. Help us to love others as You have called us to. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Luke 6:31-32 "Do to others as you would like them to do to you. 'If you love only those who love you, why should you get credit for that? Even sinners love those who love them!'" (NLT)
1 John 3:18 “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” (NLT)
1 John 2:15 “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” (NLT)
Psalm 143:8 “Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.” (NLT)
Hosea 12:6 “So now, come back to your God. Act with love and justice, and always depend on him.” (NLT)
1 Corinthians 13:13 “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” (NLT)
When we sincerely love others as God calls us to, we will experience Him and great joy.
