This week is drawing to a close and I'm glad because ugh, it's been tough. My dad got out of his surgery just fine yesterday, and this morning he's driving everyone crazy barking orders. Sometimes his military background really shows. He's never up this early, but he spent the night downstairs and he's interrupting the routine... Which everyone is trying their best to ignore. Because we're also so relieved. Tomorrow I'm taking off to visit my husband and daughters for a week, and I'm planning on continuing to exercise, but stepping back from the food side. The part of this week that's been very instructive is that I have more energy when I eat more carbs, and eating them before I get up to move helps a lot. These aren't exactly huge revelations, but the difference between limiting my carbs so much and waiting until about 10 to eat breakfast, and having more carbs and eating before I exercise has been stark. So when I begin again on the 26 the of Feb, I'm going to readjust my eating and exercise plans. I want to have more energy and more stamina, as well as lose weight. So I'm going to recalculate.
