My spinal surgeon's appointment today

Tuesday, February 20, 2018

As many of you know, I had extensive neck/spine surgery on September 8, 2017. It's been a slow recovery, but I got wonderful news today at my doctor's appointment!!

I can:
1. Start Physical Therapy.
2. Gradually start driving again, beginning with local trips, and building up from there.
3. Gradually begin to stop wearing my soft collar, wearing it a little less every day. I'll probably still wear it when I drive.
4. Travel on an airplane. Looking forward to visiting my sister in FL!
5. Walk outside with my Nordic poles.

It's been a long 5 months, but I followed doctor's orders, which I know helped with my healing.
I know many of you have had or will having similar neck or back surgeries. There IS a light at the end of the long recovery tunnel!! Don't give up! Stay in touch with your doctor, follow directions, don't overdo, and if, at any time, you have questions, ask them!!
