I just finished a tough workout. Our trainer called it Round 2. We had 20 minutes to complete this workout in order 4 times.
20 Squat Kick
10 Sit ups
10 Squat Thrust
At the end of 20 minutes, he asked how many times we completed the Round 2 exercises. All of us completed 2 cycles and most were somewhere on the 3rd cycle. Two of our group were on the 4th cycle. The trainer said he expected all of us to get through 1 cycle and some to finish the 2nd cycle. Then he told us that this workout came out of his notebook of workouts he personally practices in Hawaiian Kempo training (they are required to do the workout until they complete 4 cycles in 20 minutes).
He pushes us, and still encourages us to work at our own level. I feel so proud of how far our class has come in 7 weeks. We worked hard and encouraged each other…it was a sweat-fest and a great experience!
