Preparing for The Next STORM!

Tuesday, March 13, 2018

There will always be "The Next Storm". Unfortunately for us in New England, we are preparing for the third Nor'Easter in two weeks! It snows, we shovel, snow blow and rake the snow off our roof, then we repeat the process over and over again. For those who are unfamiliar with the term, a Nor'Easter is a strong area of low pressure along the East Coast of the United States that typically features winds from the Northeast off the Atlantic Ocean – hence the term "nor'easter."
Nor'easters are most often associated with strong winter storms crawling up the Northeast coast (Weatherchannel.com).

The storms of life are not that much different than the Nor'easters that I'm facing. Sometimes they just keep coming an an unrelenting, forceful way. Ho Chi Minh said; "We need to be prepared for these harsh storms. Remember, the storm is a good opportunity for the pine and the cypress to show their strength and their stability."
Faith in God and a positive attitude are my ways of being prepared. I also put aside some money for such occasions.

In the eye of the storm
You remain in control
And in the middle of the war
You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor
When my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me
In the eye of the storm
When the solid ground is falling out from underneath my feet
Between the black skies, and my red eyes, I can barely see
When I realize I've been sold out by my friends and my family
I can feel the rain reminding me
In the eye of the storm, You remain in control
In the middle of the war, You guard my soul
You alone are the anchor, when my sails are torn
Your love surrounds me
In the eye of the storm
Mmm, when my hopes and dreams are far from me
And I'm runnin' out of faith
I see the future I picture slowly fade away
And when the tears of pain and heartache
Are pouring…
