Moderation

Today, in the Spark Coach discussion session, it has been a chat regarding "moderation" and Sparkguy ask us to think where is there no moderation in our program, because moderation, has been said to be a clue of success in the program. Well right now I can not think about an "All or nothing" in my program, but I do have an "all or nothing" in my life that eventually is affecting my weight loss program. Isn't that something that this small chat he had with us today opened my eyes to a problem area in my life that doesn't have to do directly with my program? Well I do think about "all or nothing" regarding house keeping and house chores. If I can not do everything, absolutely everything in my long list of house chores, then I feel like a failure and that stops me for the rest of that day wishing that a new day comes fast, so I can start all over again and be successful, but the tragedy of this circle is that it has become a never ending cycle that is stopping me to live a healthy live.
I have been reflecting on this matter and I had discover that it comes from my childhood that way I have been raised. Back then, at home, for each single day of that week, there was this long list of house work, chores an duties for each one of us and if we do not finish it, then to the room we went and our day has ended. So I figured out that I am recreating my childhood life in my adulthood and I am punishing myself for not been perfect in all aspects of keeping my home perfectly clean and organized. Wow, I am hurting my health and my self because I can not perform that "all or nothing" in my housewife life. So I guess I have a long journey getting myself out of that thinking and bringing moderation into that situation so moderation in my program can come up and I can keep going my healthy journey to having a healthy weight loss and a healthy life style. Isn't that valuable that I have to hear that life saving chat today, so I could understand why I shut down my self if I am not perfect at home? Wow, life changing chat that one of today at Spark Coach Program. Thank you Sparguy!!!
