Whisky In The Jar

Just a recap of the weekend food log, events, feelings and current motivation. Friday we met our couple friends out at the pub. Rick was running late as his car had died in thr AM and had to goto the shop. Fortunately it turned out it was an error with the recent repair and was not charged. And the car is now running fine. But it was in the shop til the next morning so he managed a ride across town to my place to keep our plans. What chaos. But we made it! I had a grilled cheese and fries at the pub, terrible choice but it is what it is. Our friends weren’t feeling well, so we cut the night short, which was super disappointing. Went to pick up the car on Saturday morning and did some other errands. Met up with our friends in the afternoon and went to the Paddy’s day party at our friends. Had some corned beef and cabbage and soda bread and a slice of homemade pumpkin pie! So good! We had a great time at the party and I drove everyone as I don’t drink. Sunday morning we had the memorial to attend. It was uncomfortable to say the least. His grandma was very unhappy, as it was her oldest that passed. It was sad. They held it at the American Legion hall, and the food was off the short order grill. Hot wings, fries, chili and cheese crisps. Grosss. I wish I had made breakfast but he wanted to make a stop on the way. The only thing acceptable to eat was the chicken wings, so I had 5. I ended up with a stomach ache. We were both ill and worn out by the time we made it back. At least we had Saturday go great, as Friday and Sunday were stress inducing. Started out the week on a high tho. Been getting my steps in and eating right. I even made it to the gym today, first time in at least a year. I even made an appt for an assessment with a trainer for tomorrow after work. I’m really excited about my motivation. It helps I’ve seen a few pounds drop finally.
