The time to change has come.....

Tuesday, March 27, 2018

If I never change permanently nothing will ever change - I will ALWAYS be in this roller coaster pattern - with more ups than downs and I cannot complain if i do not make that change - shift in my thinking once and for all - it is so tiring always thinking about food - fighting myself on what to eat or not to eat & then honestly giving into the wrong foods - to start the negative "beat ups" that I do to myself for eating that whatever it may be - or since I ate it why not keep going - I will NEVER get to where I want to be - On how I want to feel - on how i want to look etc - NEVER!! if I do not make a permanent change once & for all.....

Maybe that is the issue all along - I cannot not change how I am BUT I change how i react and how I deal with how I handle things, issues, problems and Stresses!!!

I do not need to repair me BUT i need to repair how I react and deal so that when I am encountering those issues, problems and stresses - I can deal with it in a way that is not self-destructive BUT SELF EMPOWERING!

Turn those things in life and in me that I cannot control into reactions that are positive and self fulling. Once and for all!!

It is time to make that step and move forward!

You absolutely can do it. I had to make big changes when I found out I had many food allergies. I couldn’t change all at once so I tackled it one or two things at a time until comfortable and then add new things to try. When changing your diet it helps not to treat it as losing something but gaining how to try new products and new ways. Turn it into fun, be curious and willing to try new things. Soon you will learn how to reinvent your skills and norms. Think about it, you’d do the same thing if you went to a different country with different foodstuffs and cooking arrangements. Luckily you’re not the only one to have gone through this and others have blazed a trail for to follow. Educate yourself on your health condition , food in general and find blogs that fit what you need. Buy the healthiest foods you can, organic, and mitigate the cost by bypassing all the money spent on garbage junk food. I bet you already know how to do a lot of this so give yourself some credit and build on your base! emoticon

YOU CAN DO IT! You need to realize that this isn't a diet but a lifestyle change. The healthier you eat, the more likely your kids will be to eat healthy. They watch everything we do. I know you can do it. We all stumble but the best thing you or I can do is not worry about the misstep but concentrate on keeping our balance while recovering from the misstep.

I overate last night, my sweet tooth kicked up and I broke into the Easter candy. Normally, I would just not finish tracking my food for the day but I made sure to track it ALL. I was over my range by 200 calories! Yikes! I will do better today and tomorrow and the next day until I always reach for a piece of fruit when I'm craving something sweet.
