JUSTICE AND MERCY
God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of His blood--to be received by faith.
Romans 3: 25-26
The crucial issue about sin is not what it does to us, but what it does to God.
The penalty for sin is death, but this is where justice and mercy meet at the cross. A third party stepped in and took upon Himself the penalty we deserve in order to satisfy the just wrath of a just God.
Mercy is absolutely involved, but our salvation and eternal relationship with God are secured because Jesus is both "just and the one who justifies", satisfying on the cross the Father's judgment so that we could be forgiven and made righteous before God.
Lord Jesus, words cannot express how thankful we are for your sacrifice. Thank You for Your love, Your mercy and for satisfying the Father's wrath and judgment on our behalf. Amen
Thank you my Spark Friends for coming to my blog and leaving your comments. Thank you for your prayers for my friend Nancy. I spoke with her daughter Trina this morning and she said Nancy was sitting up in a wheel chair for a little while. They are going to access her on Tuesday as to what rehab she will need. Please keep praying for her, she still needs prayers. Trina asked me to thank you for your prayers.
Sending you God's richest blessings for you and your precious families and may God wrap His comforting arms around you and love you in your joyous times and times of any problems you may be having. He will never leave you nor forsake you. We have to keep remembering this about our Almighty God. God Bless you.
