This morning after Maegann was off for school I headed to the grocery store. Once home I got Isaac up and around and we got busy with school assignments once he'd finished breakfast and his morning chores.
We took our "fun lunch" before finishing science and after Isaac was pretty well finished eating I got to the subject of the day which was his anger and behavior yesterday. We talked for at least 45 minutes and I felt badly that he cried when he had to talk about his autism. Trying to help him embrace his differences and find the positives instead of living in the negatives. We also discussed why it is important he treat Jeffrey (the boyfriend) nicely and I'm thankful for a real life "social skills therapy" here at home. He likes Jeff....just isn't used to the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing. Once home we settled down for our science video and enjoyed Wendy's Frosty's while we watched and then I took a 30 minute nap.
Next up was PT stretching exercises and icing the knee. Felt much better afterwards so will keep this up daily. I shouldn't have stopped.
I did a very small amount of paid work and will tackle the one issue that came up today. Not happy with that case coordinator right now. Oh well....
After supper Maegann and I went to Moxie for steamers. Maegann asked the gal working about the age to work there, which is 16, and the gal told her she should definitely apply as there was an opening coming up and that Maegann has the right personality. This gal knows us well and starts our steamers without us having to order. She told Maegann to get the application turned in and to let her know so she can pull it and have the gal that hires look at it. We'll see....
Once home we had family bible study (got through the whole Sodom and Gomorrah section) and implemented gratitude journal time.
Now it is time to watch The Voice while the kids head to bed.
Tomorrow Maegann is home from school as the Juniors have SAT's and the Seniors have graduation stuff. She has a speech assignment to finish and counseling in the afternoon. Otherwise, a normal day of school with Isaac and laundry.
