All or Nothing

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

My SparkCoach today talked about giving up and doing nothing if we can't do it all. I'm in a quiet time with fewer activities these days, and it feels like I'm doing nothing. I talked with a friend about it, and I was saying, "I had a Personal Training Session this morning," "I did Water Zumba last night", I'm cooking and eating", etc. She listened and let me know that I AM doing something: it's just not what I consider doing...

I spoke with a counselor one time who told me something like I wasn't using the same yardstick to measure the things in my life that other people did. You seem to usually fill your days with so many activities that I can understand how you might feel sometimes that you are not accomplishing much when you are having the quiet times. You might just be measuring differently, too!

We all need those quiet times when we do things for ourselves and not necessarily doing for others. We need to take care of ourselves before we can help others.

Just keep at doing what you are able to do even if its not all you wanted to do

We have to decide what is best for us and only you can do that..I suspect you are doing what you feel is best for you now and that is all we can ask of ourselves... emoticon

Your friend is right! Keep it up.

HUGS and hope spring is popping in your area. Still cold here, but I have hope that spring will show up.
